After our post last week about Bethlehem’s history as the Christmas City, you’re probably excited to see snow on the ground and trees on the intersections, but we have a few beautiful weekends of fall left – so get out and enjoy them!

Arrive in South Side Bethlehem in time to see the runners of the 5 and 10k start the Runner’s World running weekend. Be sure to make and bring signs to cheer on all your friends who are participating in the event. It doesn’t look like rain on Saturday, so walk over to the ArtsQuest Center and really cheer on the finishers! A 5k doesn’t take too long, so really scoot over if you wanna see the winners finish!

Head over to the Historic District for a belly-bustin’-brunch at Billy’s Downtown Diner. If you’re like us, around this time you’re torn between ordering breakfast or ordering lunch – so grab a friend, and order both! For your sweet breakfast treat, try the daily special pancakes or French toast and for your savory lunch, get the “Mindfreak” burger. It has all your standard burger fixings (bun, meat, cheese, lettuce) and then homefries and hot sauce! It has so many flavors, you’ll be satiated for the rest of the day.

Take a walk over to Main Street for one of the last weekends of We Dig Main Street. This weekend and next, you can still get a contest entry every time you shop at one of the participating vendors on Main Street. The awesome prizes are still left: gift baskets, vacations, iPads and more!

Move back to the Southside ArtsQuest Center to see the indie novel and film sensation, “The Perks of Being A Wallflower.” It’s a modern classic that captures the dizzying highs and crushing lows of growing up. Starring Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a moving tale of love, loss, fear and hope-and the unforgettable friends that help us through life.

Go to Sal’s Brick Oven Pizza for dinner on the Southside. No French toast or burgers here, just some of the best homemade Italian food. If you’ve got a hungry group, start with one of their brick oven pizzas. It has the perfect ratio of thin crust to sweet sauce, and it will whet your appetite for any other pasta entree that they have on their menu. Just when you think it can’t get any better, complimentary canolis are offered after every meal.

You better already have your tickets to this one: Boyz II Men are going to be at the Sand’s Event Center! Boyz II Men remains one of the most truly iconic R&B groups in music history. The group redefined popular R&B and continues to create timeless hits that appeal to fans across all generations. Celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, the band has penned and performed some of the most celebrated classics of the past two decades. The group’s 4 Grammy Awards are just the tip of the iceberg: throughout their 20-year career, Boyz II Men have also won a whopping 9 American Music Awards, 9 Soul Train Awards, 3 MTV Awards, and 3 Billboard Awards.

Head home after a really long day! You’ve watched a race, seen a movie, dined exquisitely and seen one of the greatest bands of the 90s! What more could you want right here in Bethlehem?
