Arrive at the Harvest Festival in Historic Bethlehem. Scope out all of the arts and crafts. Get fresh produce from Scholl’s Orchard and starting at noon, you can start the soup tour and taste the soup creations from our favorite local restaurants. Walk through the Sun Inn Courtyard, Main Street and Broad Street.
Watch the pie eating contest in the Sun Inn Courtyard. Ten contestants will participate in an all-out competition to eat one whole pie with no hands the fastest! Yummy strawberry pies will be sponsored by Jumbars! A contestant will win the honor of the Championship trophy for the winner of the contest and other prizes will be awarded for Best Costume and Crowd Favorite!
There’s nothing like watching other people eat pie to really whet your appetite, so it’s time for a late lunch at Hello Burrito. They have hot wraps, cold wraps, quesadillas, soup and obviously, burritos. It may be chilly on Saturday, so we recommend a grilled chicken burrito with black beans and Hello Burrito’s homemade salsa.
After lunch, grab a beer from the beer tent and make your way to the concert in the Sun Inn Courtyard. Trouble City All Stars will be on stage when you get there, but be sure to stay and hear Don Cunningham and his cabinet play at 6pm. Feel free to get another beer.
The festival is winding down, and you’re hungry again so walk to Confetti Cafe where you can get a salad, sandwich or soup for your dinner, but be sure to get dessert – like gelato! Mmmmm.
It’s been a long day outside and you’ve had a few beers, so we suggest that you book a room at the Hyatt Place. Rest up and drive home safe on Sunday!
