Wish a warm welcome to October with any and all of these events happening in Bethlehem this weekend!

1. First Friday Goes Under the Big Top

The Ringling Brothers are coming to First Friday. They’re bringing a coloring station, a Barnum Bash Party Hat Craft, and a face painter to paint Ringling Bros. and Barnum &  Bailey accents, free of charge! They will also be handing out discount coupons. In addition to all of the usual specials we’ve come to expect from our fabulous local merchants and restaurants, welcome the month with jugglers, hoola hoopers, unicyclists, musicians and more all Under the Big Top.

2. See Celtic Thunder at the Sands

If you didn’t get enough Celtic culture last weekend at the Celtic Classic, don’t worry; Celtic Thunder is performing at the Sands on Friday night at 7:30pm. The group performances highlight the diversity of Irish music and song; from the powerful rendition of “Dulaman” to the love song “Maid of Culmore,” the collection also features a rousing performance of “Galway Girl” and beloved Irish party song “My Irish Molly-O.”

3. Oktoberfest at ArtsQuest

Experience an authentic German Oktoberfest with a special Pennsylvania flair. Highlighting the event is the 100-foot by 240-foot Yuengling Festhalle tent at PNC Plaza, featuring German food, beer, and polka, rock and party bands. The festival starts Friday evening and keeps on going until Sunday night both this weekend and next!

4. Visit a Harvest on the Farm

Join The Historic Bethlehem Partnership for the Open Gate Farm Tour, a free day of activities and fun at Burnside Plantation! Press apples fallen from the orchard trees and find the Needle in a Haystack in a fun game in which everyone receives a prize!
