This has quickly become our favorite post of the week, and we’re not going to disappoint you this time!
You’ve read about it here and you probably still have that fashion bug from New York Fashion Week, so head down to the Celtic Class Grand Pavilion Tent on Saturday at 5:30pm with your ticket in hand (BUY HERE) for a cocktail hour before the fashionable festivities begin. Then you’ll be treated to the stylings of Bethlehem boutique owners. There’s a raffle and a meet and greet but absolutely no reason not to be there!
They’ll be performing in Zoellner Arts Center again this year in a tribute to Big Bands. So if you love the classics or want to hear the new works of the orchestra, this is the place to be. You can buy your tickets now through the Zoellner Box Office. Concert starts at 8pm, perfect for a little post-dinner music.
The American Heart Association is hosting a two mile walk starting at Northampton Community College that will donate its proceeds to research in the fight against heart disease and stroke (the number 1 and 4 killers of Americans, respectively). The walk isn’t a competition, so if you can get out of bed in time to start at 8:30am on Sunday morning, enjoy the exercise with your friends and family.
Discover Lehigh Valley recently did a survey in which they tried to find the best place to watch football in the entire Valley. Here’s what they said about one of our favorite South Side spots! “Starters Riverport can be found on south side Bethlehem just off of 3rd Street. It has a parking garage attached providing a completely covered environment from the car to the door, so the ladies can’t use rain as an excuse not to join you guys. If you forgot your glasses at home, don’t worry about it. Starters has seven giant, big screen TV’s plus over 60 TVs throughout so you shouldn’t miss a moment of the action.” Sunday Night Football this week features the Ravens and the Patriots!
We don’t know much about boxing here, so we’ll let it speak for itself: Gabriel "Chico Guapo" Campillo, 21-4-1, 8 KO's, the #3 light heavyweight in the world, will take on Russia's tough Sergey Kovalev, 18-0-1, 16 KO's, rated #13, on Friday, September 21st when the critically acclaimed NBC Sports Network Fight Night Boxing Series returns to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center. The 2,000 seat arena was sold out with standing room only for the June 1st NBCSN Fight Night show at the Sands.
